I'm looking for at least one app (more would be better) That I can get a phone number for text AND voice and where you can set your voicemail message. Also, I want to be able to login on the web to reply to texts(this part is a MUST)

I want to try my hand at sms marketing.. and I have a feeling I'm going to be getting tons of texts so I don't want to reply from my cell phone cause it will probably be blowing up lol

If you could name a couple that would be great! The ones I have don't have a website where you can login and see your texts/reply to texts =/

Ok, it looks like the app "TextNow" can do this. You can log in on a webbrowser and text people and receive messages on it too. BUT, you can't send any URL/links through their app or the web browser. The recipient will not receive the message at all if you send a blabla.com text. I've tested this countless times and also tried it with a link in the signature field and still a no go.

SoOoo any others out there like this that allows links and can text from browser?

Your best bet is to register to an SMS gateway service that provides an API then developing a web interface yourself. If you don't know PHP then your best bet would be to get someone to do it for you. There are thousands of SMS gateway services. Just make sure you read the terms and conditions as some may not tolerate mass sending or don't allow URLs.

That sounds expensive. I just can't see why I can't send a url/link through TextNow. So stupid. Other apps allow it they just don't have a web interface. I can also send urls/links just fine through my Verizon number

Haven't heard of that one.. Thanks for the suggestion I will search it now.

I've been Googling "SMS" "web interface" and everything is expensive. TextNow works well and is free but the ONLY link you can send that I found out is YouTube links so far.

Will check out your recommendation and report back.

Not with the app "TextNow" you don't. You can send them but your text will get ghosted and not go through. I tested this for 30 min. As soon as I sent a text without a link the recipient received the message. The only link that ever went through were YouTube links.

But it's fine I found an app that does exactly what I need and it's "HeyWire" Can text from the web with it and can send links.
