Small BST subforum? (for low prices, redundant, one buyer sales)

I wanted to sell some articles on here, just a pack not a service, but since the BST fee is 20 bucks it's just not worth it. I'm forced to go elsewhere. recommendations would be cool, if anyone has any.

Essential Clix has told me this is partly to keep out small/redundant offers. I don't want to barrage him/her with PMs so I thought I'd talk about it here.

What about the possibility of a low or no-fee BST subforum for small sales that meet certain criteria? ie, things you can't sell more than once.

I think it's a good idea overall, but the major problem with it is that there's no way to monitor it. It's a scammer paradise. I guess there could be a limit on price, like any single product under $50 to limit that a little and you must have at least 100 posts or something along those lines.

I'd suggest limiting the sellers to only J. VIP. That would weed out the majority of BS.

Yeah it's a complicated situation, and could prove to be more work than it's worth for the staff here. However, we will give it some thought. As flow mentioned, a sliding scale fee is a good idea, but that could prove to be tricky to actually implement (and program).

A free solution just won't work; it opens the floodgates for scammers, who eventually ruin it for everyone, similar to our Freelance section.

We've just recently decided to require a fee to post in the Freelance sections, due to the sheer number of scam complaints we've been receiving. We haven't come to a conclusion on price and user requirements, but it will probably be similar to the BST fee.

    Thanks for considering it.

Yea free isn't working as evident with freelance.. so as to the sliding scale, even if it was just two levels -- 5/10 dollar fee or something... I think that would be fair.

I think a fee is a good idea - thanks to BHW for staying on top of this.
