A few of the more experienced marketers on the forum have a small Slack group where we discuss industry topics. I want to add a couple experienced marketers to our productive channels. Topics are seo, startups, IM, programming, etc.

The group contains old forum members like bk071, Leith, LukaB, GeorgeBG, Taktical, meathead1234, etc.

If you know myself or any of the guys above that can vouch for your experience, just send them your email for an invite and they'll pass it on to me or the other admins.

Most of us are new to Slack and getting used to it, but I think the channels really make a productive environment to take about all different aspects of the industry.

Just thought I'd throw this out there.

Not quite sure I measure up to any of those names but I love networking with smart & motivated businessmen.

Got into local marketing in 2011 mainly to market my own business. I had no intentions of actually getting into marketing when I started. But within the first 8 months I managed to get our business on CBS and NBC tv. Not local news but national tv.

Afterwards I began brokering for a % in other peoples business. I kept the operation small and profitable. Worked only with 4 other businesses. At my peak I cleared 6 figures in 3 months. Was able to buy my first home paid in full thanks to local marketing. I do not profess to be an expert at SEO cause I'm not. It's taken me this long just to start building my own network. But I do believe I possess a specific set of valuable skills. I also got into affiliate marketing (Clickbank) but never had much time to invest. I'd work 10-15 hours a month and managed to get up to $200 days on top of my local ventures (which are the large bulk of my income).

I also operate a profitable music site. Like clickbank it accounts for a small % of my overall income but if I ever bail on local I know I can scale it up.

I have my BA in psychology. Graduated from Monmouth University which has the toughest psychology program in our state. Anyone who lives in NJ knows this. It's never Rutgers, Princeton or Seton Hall on NJ 101.5 (NJ's most popular radio station). It's always Monmouth University. They are the leaders in social science and it's always their research on the radio.

While in college I also started studying NLP, seduction and doing sound engineering. I have 14 years experience in sound engineering now. I know NLP. Know how to use it. Know how to properly implement it in voiceovers or background music. I have a solid grasp of social, behavioral and consumer psychology. I read case studies like a nerd. I come from a family of salesmen. My oldest brother is Vice President of our local Smith Barney Brokerage Firm. He has amassed a huge network of rich friends during his career... which I won't lie has helped me on various occasions. Some of my most profitable connections I have secured through him and another brother.

I feel like I'm writing a resume here. In which case I should probably talk about my record as well. Prior to college... when I was 14 I started reading organic chemistry. By the time I was 17 I started a meth lab. I was also making methcathinone, chloral hydrate and various other designer drugs. By the time I was 19 I sourced a connection in Brooklyn and was on my way to trafficking large amounts of speed from central NJ to Brooklyn, NY. Problem was I wasn't streetwise. My connection (friend of a friend) slipped off a wet road at 65 mph into a tree and died on impact. I was forced to make desperate measures to find a new connection at which point the DEA slipped an informant on me and well, I got my stupid ass busted. But I did learn some very important lessons about business. 1) Don't sell drugs. 2) When shit hits the fan it's every man for himself and adults will throw kids off a boat to stop themselves from drowning. 3) Never trust another person to invest your own money.

If you don't know any of us, just send me a brand that you own... like a software or an SEO agency or whatever your brand is.
