So this past week i did a test of going to sleep every other night as a way to get extra work.

*I took 2 virtual half semester high school courses
* Wanted to increase IM earnings ..

Well .. This week i finished both courses with A's in each of them and my earnings went from about 50-60ish a day to about 100-110ish per day .

Bottem line was it worth it : Yeah .. lol
Will i do it again ? : No ; it makes you hella sleepy / cranky / and bad for your health . but i completed my goals at a super fast rate:dunce:

What's wrong with doing them in half the time, and getting the same results + sleep? :P

The first year that I took my business off the ground, 9 years ago, I was going days without sleep and smoking more joints than Bob Marley...spent a whole year just popping out of the house to stock up on food and weed...was the sacrifice worth it? Yeah, was it!!! Nowadays I just spend a couple of hours a day working online, sometimes I dont even bother and the money keeps rolling in!;)

I think thats how a lot of us think though. When we spend so much time on here doing work we make ourselves feel better by saying it'll pay off in the long run.

It better fucking pay off.

I cant even stay up past about 3am then im a freaking zombie.

This is off-topic but thats a lot of thanks "lakerfan2400" . 4 billion?

That's not the best practice. Clearly, you were motivated because otherwise you wouldn't have done something like that. This suggests that you might've accomplished a similar or even greater amount with proper rest. Did you really utilize all that extra time? Had you used your time effectively on a normal schedule, would you accomplish a similar amount? Maybe not, but I know whenever I procrastinate on college essays that is the case.

Once in awhile those strategies are alright, but I wouldn't recommend them. I take prescription medications and could stay awake days if I wanted. I don't misuse my medications, though. I can also caffeine myself silly and work an insane amount.

For instance, take this May. I spent almost all my time writing online articles for little money, but I made a decent amount because I spent hours a day doing it. I still didn't use my time efficiently, which created stress.

After that, I was tired out for most of June. It's not medically healthy to do those kinds of things regularly. Now I have mental health issues but it wouldn't surprise me if those and other problems could arise from that.

My first year of college involved having an essay due every second Monday. I stayed up all night every two weeks. After that year, I physically can't stay up all night to complete essays. It's just not something I can mentally or physically do. I can only stay up when I know the benefits are worth it or I have no choice. This means I only ever stay up when flying.

If it works for you, I'm jealous. I just wouldn't recommend deviating from normal sleep patterns to anyone. This doesn't mean early to rise nonsense. If you like late nights go for it. Just sleep reasonable amounts. Even those abnormal sleep schedules advocated by people online are not well supported by scientific data.

Sleep is delicious.

i sleep 9-12 hours a day.

Dont get much done, but hey; all my dreams happen when i sleep :)

Health is wealth.I do not go beyond my capacity otherwise will face a lot of health trouble.

I love sleep, I love success, combining the two would be perfect. I can go without sleep for a time, but since a LOT of what I do is creative, writing, graphics, video, my mind has to be fresh or I just can't do it. When I don't get enough sleep I get calls to audition for... "Zombie Land".

I only sleep 4-5 hours per night with no problem. Had a sleep test when I was 12, as that is when it started. Turns out, my body just runs on 3-4 horus and gives me the same as a person getting 7-8 hours.

In bed by 2am and up at 6am, 7 on the weekends...heh. I know, I know...way to sleep in, right?

Note: The US and London science societies have both concluded long term sleep studies in the last decade that have been running since the 50's and have proven that 4-6 hours a night of solid, tired sleep is healthier and people that do so actually live longer. You can do the research yourself by searching ' less sleep for better health ' .

Yeah it works in a sence of needing to get something done a short amount of time for example to two classes i took and completed with an A ..
thats a years worth of a high school credit i did in a week . but you feel like complete shit after .. and i still feel like shit even tho i slept like 9 hours last night. i'm just catching up to tired...

I can't get much accomplished when I go a whole day without sleep, but I sure get a ton done when I'm only sleeping 3-4 hours a day. Man I could get all classes in, hours of homework in, then still put in about 8 hours into IM. It works better for me to say sleep 3 hours at night then take an hour nap in the afternoon, winning schedule.

how about the DaVinchi 20 minute nap routine??
like Kramer tried in Seinfeld, lol.

i work until 4am every morning and sleep 5 to 6 hours.
then after a week or two i will sleep like 10 hours one night.
but then again ive been doing this since 'nam
