Hi guys, I'm the founder of Skillocracy.com and I'm new to these forums. We created a pretty generous affiliate (referral) program to help spread the word about our site. I just found this forum and though I'd ask for some honest feedback on what you think about our referral program.

    The highlights:
    - get 25% of our revenue for referring either buyers or workers to the site
    - we track and show you which users you referred
    - referral credit for a particular user expires after 1 year
    - affiliate links are generated like http://www.skillocracy.com?ref=yourusername
    - they can also point to a specific project if you're sharing a project (such as http://www.skillocracy.com/project/?id=10&ref=yourusername )

Let me know what you think; constructive feedback is appreciated. I believe we have a lot of value to add through a very unique service, and we're looking for people to help spread the word about it.

    Cheers,
    Chris

to be exact, we are giving out 50% overall.
for each transaction there are 2 sides, a buyer and a worker. Both referrers will get 25% each, so 50% total (and it could be the same affiliate referring both people). And we keep the other 50%.

You can be an affiliate, a worker, or a buyer with the same user account. I'm hoping it's all self explanatory but let me know where you are stuck and I'll try to improve the instructions.
