Hi guys,

My site was wipped out after Google's August big update. I am publishing good content every day, all my articles are in status index, but not submitted to sitemap. When I put site: mydomain.com it's there, but only the homepage. When I google https://mydomain.com, there are few links and some others when I google mydomain.com. Also, when I google article links, I can see them all there, but they are nowhere in the ranking (They were before the update). My site was few weeks old in that time, built on expired domain (that's why it was ranked quickly), but obviously it was something wrong with it.

What are yours experiences with sites affected by the G updates? Should I continue to put hard effort in it, or it will be very hard to succeed with it?

That not sound like a site hit by Google update. You were ranking for any keywords?

It might be hard to continue
Move to a new website or wait for the next update

Yes, as soon as I start build a new site on an expired domain I started to rank fast. Then a day after the update I lost all rankings. I don't know what else it could be. Now I have around 40 articles and around 40k words on it.

Is it possible Google realized I am building a new blog on expired domain and pushed me into a sandbox because of that?

Lol..No offence, but you are not that important for G.
Might be some other reasons.

I don't think you understand me. I didn't mean I am important, but there should be some mechanism to prevent people to buy expired domains for $5 and start indexing from the day 1. Why would anyone buy a new domain when you can buy cheap expired domain and skip the few months of sandbox.
