    Hi there guys,

I was wondering if anyone has a particular view on the change frequency displayed in a sitemap. Does it help to change it to daily/weekly/monthly/yearly?

What are the effects on the indexing speed of google based on a frequency in a sitemap?

I hope someone can clarify that for me, thanks in advance!

Sitemap is like pinging. It is only required to update when you have new updates to your site.

I personally don't like setting dates on my site maps or client site maps. I'd prefer to let Google do their own thing. Ultimately, they will crawl you based on your content production frequency so sitemap frequency is really kind of a waste of time imho.
