This might be usual question round here but I've read around and followed lots of advices but I haven't been able to get past this obstacle.

    I have two sites;

    Site 1:
    DA: 25
    PA: 37
Articles: 56 (root page 2k words, articles at least 500 words each)

    Site 2:
    DA: 11
    PA: 17
Articles 52 (root page 2k words, articles at least 500 words each)

Both my websites are over 1 year old and I have done some SEO here and there. I have created a parasite site link network and linked my website to it. The parasite was aged and niche relevant. I've used GSA to push more juice into the parasite link network. I haven't touched comments, SAPE or PBNs. The keywords are both low comp with no visible authority site on page 1 or 2.

My on-page SEO is good. I've checked through many tools and asked a few SEO agencies. I had even hired one (from BHW, a highly reputed member) to work on one of them but nothing came of it.

My traffic is abysmal. I can touch double digit UVs on my good days. On normal days the traffic remains in the low single digits.

I am not looking to be spoon fed. I just need someone to point into the right direction.

what is the search volume like on the topics, and also how focused or broad is your writing?

Cooking utensils vs chrome cheese toasty machines

Sometimes google just won't associate your site topics with a certain niche, and instead you rank for a few keywords, but overall, it's not much. I have a few sites where i found that, and the only thing i learnt was to take the topics i had categorized, and instead make sites about those.

Going forward though, pick out the best performing keyword/article, see if you can focus monitization on only that small piece of the pie, and then just move on with some new site ideas, see if you can take what you learnt, and turn it around.

The main keywords are 1,000 and 2,300 exact searches in US per month.

Most of my articles are top 5 plastic cooking utensils or best metal cooking utensil reviews.

Did you ask what the seo people you bought from thought?
They might be able to offer some more insight as to what they think is the issue.

They were equally clueless. They said they put my website on their best plan but there were no results to be seen.

what kinds of links? PA? DA? how many? did you drip feed them? do you use quality t1 link or are spammy? are all of your links indexed? Is there a possibility you need to get some removed?

    Never...EVER....EVERRR hire ANY "SEO Agency"

I have NEVER EVER EVER seen someone say "x agency was so good they ranked my site" .... EVER

Learn SEO, buy what you need, its the only way you will TRULY succeed.

Until then you are always under someone else's control and guess what?

They want to get paid, they don't want to rank you in 1-2 months because then you stop paying them.

I think its time I start selling my SEO services, I hate seeing people fall into these traps.

I feel like most just bombard your site with shitty links so you never rank xD then sell you for a year saying you had a penalty from before they took you on. of course you only find out about that after 6 months of paying them to rank you in 6 months xD

I used parasites such as wordpress, about.me, weebly, etc. All were dripfed over 1 month. The T1s were only PR3+ with less than 25 OBL. I don't think they are spammy.

The guy knew what he was doing. He is very popular here on BHW and his BST had rave reviews. I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Nope. I never bombarded the site. I played it kinda safe. Dripfed links, no spammy comments, low anchor density.

Are you sending the link juice to the home page? or separate pages i.e. the page that's targeting the money keyword?

    Is it an amazon site?

Probably a waste of time asking unless you provide the site.

Where are you actually ranking for these keywords in Google? And what type of social media presence do you have for your niche?

What type of link building has been done for your website?
