I was away all day today but apparently the site was up and down. The NEW weekly backup was scheduled earlier than it should have been and also my 50 proxy sites were draining resources at the same time. 2GB of ram isn't enough. I may have to upgrade to a larger server or more Ram...just letting everyone know.

    Thanks

Yeah, I noticed this. It wasn't to long, though. Thanks for confirming that it wasn't just me though Dave.

Damn 50 proxy sites! I'm surprised one server can hold that many. I had one proxy site on my VPS and it completely murdered it (I had to upgrade the RAM twice and it still wasn't enough), I ended up selling the proxy site so I wouldn't have to go back up to a dedicated server. Then everytime I ended up having proxy sites I'd get banned from hosts for hogging up the resource, but I'd just find a new host and get banned all over again. After that I give myself a self imposed ban from owning proxy sites. You could probably run this site on shared hosting or maybe a cheap VPS if you want more stability. I find proxy sites keep growing and no matter how much RAM you add they keep getting bigger, you might find you'll need multiple servers for them soon.

Yes proxy sites suck the living day lights out of a servers resources. At one point I think the server had around 50 megs of RAM free
Anyways I disabled all of the proxy sites, and you wouldn't believe it... I am making more money when the proxy sites aren't working at all. I'm sure this is probably just short lived. i.e angry proxy users clicking on my adsense links because the search box doesn't let them do anything. :D:D But damn I wish I did this earlier.

On a side note I know lots of people have been giving input / suggestions for this forum. I will read through the posts when I have a free moment...this holiday season is a busy one. Thank you!
