One of my sites was PR2, moved to New host and now it's PR0?

Been this way for 2 months, is it common to lose PR when moving to a new host?

How do I keep this from happening when a client buys a site from me and it's PR3 for example, then they move it to their hosting and it loses its PR?

Moving on another host can't do it.
Look at back links - may be some of them a disappeared.

I'm actually researching some new hosting companies to transfer over about 8 domains that belong to a client of mine.

Haven't yet made the switch, but they are all around PR 3-5 so I'd hate to see any sort of negative impact.

    Anyone have any insight?

If your site was down for an EXCESS period of time during the switch, and Googlebot tried crawling and failed, I could see that effecting your sites PR. If the site is EXACTLY how it was (including all serverside configs, etc...), simply changing hosts didn't cause the drop in PR.

If you didn't see it drop to PR1 before dropping its' PR altogether, maybe it was manually hit with a penalty?

You could always ask on the Google Webmaster forums to see if they have any insight what may have caused this, nobody here will be able to tell you EXACTLY what happened.

It may have just dropped in rank naturally, too. PR undergoes updates every 2-3 months.
