Site removed from index

I made a new site and was too afraid to use black hat seo on it so i decided to do it the hard way. i posted lots of links and my site was indexed within a day. This was a few days ago but now when i search my domain its not on google anymore. Is this normal or what?

With G*ogle, anything can be normal. I wouldn't panic just yet. It's not really unusual for new site to pop up for a day, especially if you've web 2.0 linked it, but then disappear. If it hasn't shown up in a few weeks, then I would be very concerned.

Not knowing what the content is, hopefully it's not a "cookie cutter" site with more of the same because even though it's not BH, it's not well like by the big G.
 
thanks for the quick response. It may be from the web 2.0 sites i put links on. And no its not a cookie cutter site.
 
this happened to a blog of mine I created a week ago it got indexed in 24 hours, disappeared two day later and come back a days after, so you should be OK

Yes its pretty normal, I believe when you are starting off, it depends on the keywords you have on your homepage too as well (the most recent posts and the keywords you have in them)

Also, when you get a chance, do submit to go(o)gle sitemap and yaho(o) site explorer and you should be able to get indexed quicker that way as well. ms(n) came up with their version for live recently too, you can search them up online and submitting to these should be relatively easy
 
Well as long as by "lot's of links" you don't mean more than 20 in a day, then you should be fine. It's probably just in the sandbox. If so just make sure you add content and a couple of links every day (slowly - nothing too dramatic) and it should come back within a week.

If you went to town with the links, again don't worry but it might take longer. Big g doesn't like anything that doesn't look like a human can do it. Most humans get bored after manually adding 10 blog posts/forum posts/directory submissions in one day. If you think this is what happened, then make sure that you add stuff slowly.

Either way it's best now to concentrate on social networking for a couple of days. You can also check your site with g webmaster tools.

You've also got to remember that the G index isn't just on one server, or even at one data center. When you do a search you 'hit' a particular data center, if you search again it's possible that you may be directed to a different data center. The data centers synchronise with each other continually, but the cycle can take days.

So your site was listed on the data center you hit first, but not (yet) on the data center you hit when you searched later...

This behaviour is usually called the "Google Dance"
