    Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a predicament I have with one of my sites. I created about 5000 backlinks for the site 3 weeks ago, a lot of them have been indexed but so far the rankings have not been improved. For the keywords I promoted, all of them were above the top 100 on Google and so far none of them have seen any improvement.

The domain is over a year old and the backlinks I created I have used numerous times to promote sites to the first page in usually less than a week for keywords of the same competition as this one (very little). In the past week in fact I have used the same backlinks to promote a site with similar competition to the first page.

The only difference between this site and all the other sites I have promoted, the domain is .org.uk. Would this have any effect? Or is it something else I am missing?

    Thanks

keep building !Apart from that , uk domains indicate that it targets uk markets. So its hard or harder to make a uk domain to appear in the google.in for example.
If you want to focus on a specific region use regional domains otherwise use com, org, info etc

Yes I was checking rankings for google.co.uk, but there is no difference on .com or any other search engine (bing, aol, yahoo etc).

It depends of course. You might have built 5k backlinks but your website might not be optimised for this keyword or the competition might be too high.

The only thing i would say that keep building and optimise your website. Apart from that, be patient.

Building links only isnt going to get you ranked...

You need to do other things as well, If just blasting blogs with SB would get people ranked, then we all would be number 1.

Article Writing, Web 2.0, Bookmarks, Deep Linking your pages, On site SEO, the list goes on...

The site is definitely optimised for the keyword and I have done a lot of bookmarking, a few articles etc. I basically followed the same formula I do for my other sites, except this one didn't produce any results. I was just wondering if the .org.uk domain may have had something to do with it.

The competition is very similar to all the other sites I have promoted using the same formula btw.

Did you analyze your competition? I stopped looking for numbers of competition long ago, but instead analyze the strength of them. Id rather work on a KW that has 50 million competitors whom are all weak, than take on a 50,000 competition KW whos competitors are 15 year old domains with 300k backlinks.

I agree with mudbutt. Analyze your competition.

Look at the top 4-5 sites on page one for your keyword and analyze the sites.

What format are they using? Wordpress, regular HTML, etc. Analyze the sites down to the most minute level. This is tideous and takes time, but when you do it, the specific patterns you are missing will become obvious. Find out what the leaders are doing and do it better.

Plus, the search engines are placing more emphasis on "user experience" when ranking sites. How long they stay on your site is vital now, as is having a place for user interaction...comment section, etc. This will become more and more obvious in the coming months as algorithms change.

    Hope this helped...Good Luck :)

I wouldn't call scrapebox targetted backlinks, it's just spam and google knows this.
Even if you managed to find 5k blogs about your niche. Then there is a good chance these blogs are already spammed to death and are no follow.
Post some articles, those are relevant backlinks.
