    Hi guys,

So the story goes as such:

I have a non wordpress based site, that was penalised by google about a year ago, this site made around 2,000 USD a month, since being penalised, it on average makes 100$ a month now, and is nowhere to be found on google, but ranks on yahoo and bing. I have tried 3 recon requests, deleting links etc. but seems like google really isn't going to accept any requests.

    So here is my question:

    1. Is it best to make a brand new site? If yes, then is it fine to copy the current site over? And if yes, then can i keep the current site, do i delete it, what is the best strategy? In the sense that I don't want to loose on the traffic the current site has? Will redirecting the current site to the new site pass on the penalty?

    2. Do i just keep deleting links and trying to get google to remove the penalty?

    Thanks guys.

Try creating a google plus page and have your site auto-post to the google plus page.
I have a site that could not be found in the search results in google. But after doing this, the site started indexing within an hour or two of every google plus page post and now is ranking with several longtails.

I use hootsuite to autopost to the google plus page -

The site is far to penalised for any of these strategies to work, even WMT shows the site as being penalised.

Penalty won't stay forever. So get rid of bad links soon & the site will get indexed. If your site is on blogger you would want to move to wordpress quickly.

The issue is, this is a flash based game site, so does not use any form of blogging at all. As such also the content is minimal on the site. So what's the best way to go about a such site, where really its got static content that does not change?

It looks like penalty is also because of no content or duplicate content where similar games are uploaded on other sites as well. How about adding a blog section to your site covering games details, news etc. which could get you indexed soon ?

I would go into webmaster tools and delete your site (ask for deindexing.. don't remember the exact term). Also tell googlebot in robots.txt to noindex your site. After a week put all of the content back on a new domain and try to rank it on google. If you really don't want to lose the traffic from bing and yahoo keep the old site up.. and deny bing and yahoo's bots on the new site so there isn't duplicate content.

I would a brand new site but kep the other one...still making $100 a month so just leave it and start with new site and NEW content.

Some times your old content has been copied by others and/or gone through rss news feeds and is now useless.

Best to start everything on new site as fresh and keep old site as is just to be safe.

You should file a reconsideration request only if you have been manually penalized. If you haven't receive any message from Google webmaster you should not file a reconsideration request.
Some times moving to new domain is the good solution. But, don't redirect it to your new domain It may have a chance of penalty transferred to your new domain.

Yeah as the other said, just create a new website and rank it and keep the old one as it is.
