I had a site that I used duplicate content on and it isnt being indexed. I've now taken the content off and replaced with original content but its still not being indexed. Does the domain name have a penalty or should I just continue to wait. Its been about a week already.

I would, if you have adsense then slap that on for a while as well, if you already have it on then take it off for a few days

I think you would simply need to gain some trust from Google, go through this guys threads http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/100373-basstrackerboats.html and find the ping list he keeps slapping around the place and add that to your blog (I presume its wordpress?)

What happen if you google site:yoursite.com?

I'd recommend NOT adding any Google stuff, like Webmaster OR Analytics.

Especially if your site is full of duplicate content.

The real question that should be asked, ARE YOU BACKLINKING?

Google loves links, and its how it finds your site to index it to begin
with. Help Google find your site by building links.

A solid link can get your site indexed in a matter of hours.

I just recently discovered that my Host was the problem with alot of my sites getting indexed. I have had the same hosting accounts for a few years with no unique ips on sites. I got a few penalty's on sites using scrapebox and I think this took a effect on the rest of my sites as well.

Anyways I switched hosts and now the same sites 2-3 weeks later are in top 3 pages and some have pr 2+..

Not sure if this will help your specific issue but something to think about.

Just want to say that duplicate content does not mean your content will not get indexed.

Pagerank is the ONLY thing that will get your pages indexed, whether it's through short term pagerank such as pinging or by high pr blog posts. You should also make sure that your site has a good link structure so that pagerank can flow down to your inner pages.

If you want proof PM me, I have a PR2 site with 281,000 indexed pages by duplicate content alone.
