So,i have around 5 sites now, only 1 of which makes regular income. The problem is, I noticed that this is my only site that doesn't have a site map (I use a plugin for it on Wordpress).

What I basically want to ask is,will there be any disadvantage of adding it so late ? (my money site is over a year old!).

    Thanks.

Usually I just install the google XML sitemap plugin....and then leave it...that's probably wrong then?

Google XML sitemap or if you have wordpress, Wordpress SEO will only benefit your site :)

Adding an XML sitemap could not damage a site in any way, unless it revealed a bunch of dodgy pages that Google hadn't seen before.

Use google XML sitemap as those above have suggested.

You do understand that a sitemap is simply a list of all the URL's in a specific text-data format that also provides info like last-update date etc.? That's all it is.

    Just wanted to make sure!

And I've added it now. Should've done it long ago
