I set up a site about a few weeks ago but I am having a problem maybe you guys can help me with. Everything on the site loads perfectly when I'm on the laptop/pc but when I check it out on mobile I still see my logo for like 2 seconds and then it's overridden by the default one that came with the template. Same thing happens for 3 other photos... When I check on laptop I can see the new ones, but on mobile I see the default. What's the fix to this? I tried looking it up with no success.

Not something thats happened to me before, maybe try clearing the browsers cache on the mobile? Try clearing your websites cache too.

I tried it on 3 others phones. Cleared browser cache/website cache and I'm still getting the same problem. I mean I can see the logo for a split second and then it's gone. Any other suggestions?

OP - in this situation don't you think you should consider that you have not correctly set your mobile theme up? For example, a mobile theme may often have CSS files and/or theme files in a completely different folder than the original theme. It's pretty clear from this situation that something is improperly configured for your mobile theme, or the actual theme files themselves require minor modification.

I doubt anyone here is going to be able to adequately resolve your concerns with casual observations about their own past experiences with mobile themes. Someone needs to get under the hood. Will you be able to do that?

If not - you need to be actually asking for direct assistance, i.e. I think you should likely solicit someone to directly help you as you are unlikely to resolve these concerns in this thread. Someone needs to look at your implementation model here. They need to look at the plugins you use on your site and both the regular theme and the mobile theme. They need to consider your caching plugins or off-site CDN usage such as cloudflare. They need to consider your server security settings possibly.

There's just so many things that could be causing this, but given the steps you've proactively taken at this time to identify the issue - it's clear the problem likely lies in your implementation of the mobile theme. For my money, I'd bet your mobile CSS file causes this problem as opposed to issues with any caches.

I kind of googled around and saw some people having problems because of the image file size as well as the format. png images dont seem to do well either.

Not sure if that could be it or why it would default back to the original instead of showing a blank space.. but might be worth checking into.

Hope you get it straightened out.

Thanks for the detailed post davers. I just wanted to see if anyone has encountered this problem before. Guess I'll have to find someone to take a look at it.

I think I found out what my problem is and I think it's the browsers. It looks great in firefox/chrome but when I go to IE it looks horrible. Same thing happens when I view it on my iphone in google app. Should I ditch the theme and go with another one? I wouldn't want to as this is for a friends local business and we spent quite a bit of time with it. How much would it cost to have everything working properly? The site must work in all browsers.
