So i was slowly moving up on SERPS for my main keyword (was on page 3) and all of a sudden I totally disappeared from the face of the earth. Google still indexes all my pages, and send some traffic for other keywords but no listing for my main one. Also my PR dropped from 1 to 0 on January 1st

Has anyone else experienced this? Will my main keyword listing come back and my pr go back?
I had PR1 with no SEO and now after 2 weeks of onpage and offpage SEO i drop to pr 0?? makes no sense at all.

I didn't do any black hat spamming or any sorts of that. Only a little of social bookmarking and digg, twitter etc.

PR wasnt dropped but some results went down.. I am pissed!! But I didnt blog much though

You say you did some changes... it may be good or bad.

Your missing listing is simply Google redigesting your new information... no worries, your work will prove if it comes back stronger than before in the serps. Watching your rankings everyday will drive you NUTS and has NO VALUE to your results - your log files tell you what you need -

Check your rankings monthly or quarterly (with or without web changes) - you not only can't change it that day, but you are skewing the search records for your own keyword research purposes... this is one of the reasons you have to take search stats with a block of salt - anyone, because millions of users look up their own site based on checking kw rankings... and even if you do not click on your site once found, you have still attributed to 7 searches for that term that week yourself... get this?

Never, ever, worry about your PR - (there are too many reasons) I don't even look at it anymore.

I have had at least two Blogs go from PR5 to PR0 (one dropped off slowly, one went immediately to PR0). The whole time I had these I was promoting using WH methods only and writing unique articles (copyscape passed) and relevant backlinks and G repays me with this crap. Also, I had a nice iPhone Blog ranked on page 1 results for a popular search term and one day it just dropped. Woodstuck is right about PR (it's not worth the trouble anymore) - continue to promote and build up relevant backlinks and if that doesn't work, buy a 1000 shares of Google and show up at their stockholder's meeting screaming rape - or you could try to find a politician that Google has paid off in the past and when you locate him -- kiss his ass more than Google did!

Don't worry in time if you did indeed do better SEO your site will come back stronger.

My own site has jumped to PR 2 and I am listed within the top 5 spots for many of my targeting keywords but I am still behind on a few that I must rank high for to grab the majority of the traffic.

Thats would be the googe spam rankers at work hitting porn and affiliate sites hard this updade
