    Hey Guys,

I'm pretty new to Web 2.0's and tried setting them up myself for one of my domains. So far I only setup one Web 2.0, and really I didn't know what I was doing at the time.. but I actually went to Wordpress.com and basically copied over all of my articles to an account with them, leaving a link back to my site as the "resource" and still embeding my youtube videos.

That was about a week ago, now I just noticed that 3 days ago I started getting 0 traffic for my website. I checked on Google with "site:domain.com" and it's coming up with a lot of indexed pages, however my plugin is actually saying 0 for indexed pages which is odd... But I started checking my keywords and they are not ranking in the top 1000 at all. Previously they were ranking around 5 for a lot of different keywords.. However, I did notice my wordpress.com site is now ranking in some of those positions instead.

So I think I really messed this up. Do you guys think that's why my site disappeared of Google? Google Webmaster Tools doesn't show any issues from what I can see. Should I try the "blocking" feature to block my web 2.0 site that I created?

Use fresh, unique content for your Web 2.0's in the future. Also, building that 1 link did harm your site, what other linkbuilding did you do?

Either you got it penalized from using spammy links, or you just need more links.

What do you expect from a worthless link with no PR? I guess nothing and sure nothing indeed. Build more quality links with real PR to your site and make it relevant as well.

I've had the website for a couple years, but yeah according to the firefox plugin I have (SEOQuake), I haven't had any links to any of my pages. But I have still been getting traffic up until a few days ago. To make matters worse, I actually made about a dozen links on the web 2.0 site... Each article was a duplicate copy of the real website, and they each had linkbacks.

Pretty stupid eh.. haha :) Any advise for getting this fixed though? Like should I just go delete the Web 2.0 website ASAP? Or would/could I just use my webmaster tools to block?

Solution: Delete the web 2.0 and the site and wait until all the articles drop of the SERPs. Make sure you have a back up of those articles. Then rebuild the site on a new domain.

    OR

Delete the web 2.0 and build more quality backlinks to the site in hopes of a recovery.

I think Google thinks your web.20 originally posted the content and your blog stole it - so it removed your "duplicate" content even though your website had the original content first. Like others have said, next time use spun content or unique high quality content.

When you are spending some time on tier 1 links , better spend more time on it and use quality and unique contents.

If it's hard for you to delete those posted Web 2.0 pages/articles then I recommend you to change the content on your live website and see if it will get your rankings back or not. If still it didn't get your serps back then Delete Web 2.0 duplicate articles aswell.

Never ever copy your website content for any off site campaign!

The main mistake you made was posting the same content from your money making site to your web 2.0 sites.
All of that content needs to be unique and not even spun since this counts as tier 1.
