I can't post URLs yet; however, if you type "google site rank" into Google you should come across a website called prchecker.

PR = Page Rank. A scale Google uses from 0-10, with 0 on the low side. Basically shows the "authority" of a site in Google's eyes. I'm assuming the "0 out of 10" you got was a PR0, which is good for only a few days old.

To see if you are ranking for specific keywords, you have several options.

Most basic being: Type in your keyword and search for it.

There are also some awesome programs that make it a lot easier, Market Samurai, Rank Tracker by Link Assistant, WebCompAnalyst, and a few others.

If you are using Wordpress, there is a plugin that will auto-submit your sitemap every time it updates. You shouldn't need to manually resubmit it, as all your new content will be found as Google comes back and crawls your site.

yep site:domain.tld tells you if your indexed. cache:domain.tld will tell you when the gbot was last there.
