    Hey guys,

my business partner and i, have created a website, 6 weeks ago, there are 4 high quality aricles on it. After 5 weeks, our site still didn't rank so i changed the articles on the site, to a page with a littlte bit of unrelevant content. And now after 6 weeks it is still, nowhere to be found in the top1000 for an irrelevant article, hovering somewhere between page 60 and page 70.

We did not build any links except that i have written one high quality blog comment.

The thing is that one year ago, i build a site that got hit later, after building spammy links, for the exact same keyword and the site ranked on page 4 after a week or so, therefore i am wondering what is going on here.

I changed title and descriptions quite a lot of times, deoptimized a lot, here and there and still nowhere.

So what do you guys think ? We just need some links or what ?

I do not understand why it does not rank at least in the top100, because the keyword ist quite easy.

Please clarify, if you know where the problem is. Building links is the next option though.

    Thanks

You should first look at who is in the top 100. In some niches I monitor, it's not uncommon to see just a few domain names hogging up 1/3 of the listings or more. I'd still try a handful of high quality backlinks, from relevant sources, to get things moving. Good luck.

A lot has changed since then. 6 weeks you can't expect much. If you're on a budget for SEO, I can recommend some gigs for you, you can PM me.

In my experience you need at least a few good links to have a decent ranking. Without links your just like all the other fuzz out there.

    Home Page:
Indexing is not a guarantee for ranking as ranking is a whole different thing. For many search terms there are virtually millions of results but there is only one page that ranks #1 so I suggest that you analyze the top 10 results and makes notes of their on/off page seo and get as many of their backlinks as possible. Takes time to accomplish but hopefully worth it if you have good content and did proper keyword research.
