i stumbled upon a site where i searched for new ideas for a site I'm planning to create, so this site may help someone who is searching for a Sub-Niche whiting a niche!

https://www.dmoz-odp.org/

Click on the Broad niche you're interested in, and then niche down to the sub-niche you're interested in more, this way you will have a sub-niche that does not have a lot of competition.

I hope it's useful to whom it may concern

Should be helpful haven't come across the site before

thanks for this. Exactly what i need for the 'niche selection' headace I am having at the moment. great share.

I don't think if you find any gems down there. But you can give it a try. These are the sub-categories of weight loss:
Clinics and Services
Dietitians and Nutritionists
Eating Disorders
Online Shopping
Personal Pages
Resources
Support Groups
Surgery

Not too bad to get an overall idea about some sub-niches,
Still, you'll need to make a research before jumping in,
It's all related to the keywords, so I believe using some tools like ahrefs, semrush & Keyword planner will do make the overall work much easier

You don't even know what good ideas look like. I just showed people what a major niche like weight loss, MMO, or Dating looks like in the database. This gives them quick idea about what they're dealing with. I never said it in the original comment, but this database is useless for regular marketers like us.

matter of facts this 'useless' method saw it on a big SEO guy who has in his article,

LOL, ideas born from the unknown, I actually I found a niche there, and I went other places to finish my research and ended up with some nice KWs to target, these what advanced market do, the regular marketers like you and others as you said, need to be spoonfed with an already sub-niches list :D

whoever, your opinion is accepted, but don't attack something that does not seems for you!
Cheers
