What kind of sites people are actually eager to buy? When I go to DP, even websites with PR and daily organic traffic seems not to get sold or they're sold something like $10. So watch the catch? daily revenue? or is it just because people are looking to get everything free on DP? Seems to me Sitepoint won't do any better, plus it costs $20 to even get auction listed there.

The recession is hitting DN cash unfortunately. Your website needs to be actually making money now to sell, or be very brandable. Traffic and PR are not a good gauge of a sites worth simply because they can easily be faked

I sell websites on eBay for $150. It is a basic wordpress blog - customised and then add amazon affiliate links in. Surprising how many people actually purchase them.

I was checking ebay website listings and seems to me most of the websites withouth profit are sold around $10 or even less in ebay so I wonder how 24xtreme is able to sell his blogs around $150...

Agreed, most the expensive sites on Ebay or not actually being sold. The value of something is only judged upon what someone else is willing to pay for it

The low cost of sites sold makes things simple---just master how to put together a whole monetized site or blog within minutes, make up ten of them a day, then sell them all for $10 each. Voila, average $100 a day.

That's true and I've done it before on eBay. Problem is that it cost me around $12 for the listing, so net profit was -$2.

I think Sitepoint may be a better place than eBay. Seems that everyone is looking for something for free on eBay. You can always set a reserve and/or buy now option. Then watch as nobody bids and you have to pay listing fees for an auction that didn't sell.
