What happened? And how can I fix this?

P.S. Everyone else in the top 10 stayed at their positions.

No. Seriously. Might be just a normal dance -- we can't know since you are not giving us any information. Please, be more specific.

It's probably Google dance, you can't go from 5 to 93 if you were there for years. Maybe page 2 yes, but page 9? C'mon...

Did you try to clear your history and try searching again?

    Home Page:
If you was for years on this position it is hard to explain the drop with g dance.

    1. did you made any changes on the site?
    2. what kind of site is this (how many pages, short/long content on pages, type of content, update frequency etc)
    3. did you build some links recently or as a whole what did you do in the last few weeks for link building and SEO
    4. is the traffic down too? how much

You have to analyse your actions to be able to find the reason and if you are not sure give us a hunt to be able to give you suggestions

Kind of like pulling off a bandaid.... They did it quickly and got your pain over with.

At least they did not make you suffer for months while you watched the site slowly drop to 93 no matter what you did.

I love these threads. None of them are obviously going to give details so that they can actually get help but instead they get the same old answers

    Unique content
    quality backlinks
blast the shit out of it.

Does no one know how to read because there are at least 5 of this exact same thread started every day and the answers are all the same every day.

Well I wish I was kidding but I'm not. The drop happened and it's confirmed by a corresponding drop in traffic, Google search referrals, etc. It's right there on Page 10.

    1. did you made any changes on the site?

It's a blog and I recently made some adjustments as to how comments are displayed (how many, chronological order, etc.)

    2. what kind of site is this (how many pages, short/long content on pages, type of content, update frequency etc)

Wordpress blog about 20 posts. Hasn't been updated with content forever. Word count on posts varies 100-800 words depending on the post.

    3. did you build some links recently or as a whole what did you do in the last few weeks for link building and SEO

    Nothing except playing with comments.

    4. is the traffic down too? how much

Yes. It's down huge just as you would expect.

Something similar happened to one of my microniche blogs today, yesterday I was at #3 for my keyword and today on Page 7! The site is new just over a month old but I am really hoping I can get back to page 1 and take advantage of the traffic.

OK another thing which I should've mentioned is: I'm a BIG DUPLICATE CONTENT OFFENDER. But nothing happened after Panda so I thought Panda missed it or something. But maybe the next Panda update (they happen every month now) got me?

Had the same problem for on eof my sites too.

Is your in a competitive niche?
    Are your competitors ecommerce sites?
Would you mind to PM me the domain just to check your anchor text diversity?

In my case I solved by changing the title tag of the page that lost rank and got some additional fresh links (using anchor text links like "domain.com" "click here" and similar just to remix it and make it look more natural) using My Blog Guest services and some niche directory submissions.

I've recovered in a couple of weeks
