If that page is the only page that is de-indexed no you're not in trouble. Check a google blacklist checker to see if your blacklisted by Google.

If you're not blacklisted wait a few days and recheck... If it's still not indexed then check you're robots.txt if the url isn't blocked.

Keep in mind that when doing SEO you'll only see results a few weeks later.

If any of the above isn't the problem then please define "some SEO". Though i'm pretty sure if the article is new it's going to get indexed anyway.

Never use any of these tools to test if you're site is indexed...

Google webmaster tool is the best tool to know if you're site is indexed by Google.
Another easy trick is to type "site:yourwebsite.com" in google.

If the url is not in the list it's not indexed by google :)

The fact that you bought packages IS a reason to be concerned.

1 quality backlink is worth far more then 5k bad backlinks (my opinion).

If you're serieus about your website do your own SEO. Who knows better what you want to rank for then you?.

I'm seeing some speculations of a Google Panda update and i just read Google Adwords got updated majorly 4 days ago.

So there is a big chance you got Panda up your ... Specially since you bought packages. Bad links can kill your site.

I'm not sure why you automatically think I have bad links because I bought a "package" from a reputable company. 2/5 of the articles are deindexed so I guess I'll wait and see if they come back or not

Every link you didn't test and placed yourself is a bad link. I'm not flaming you for buying packages, just keep in mind that those are one of the main reasons people there sites get killed.

Did you test the backlinks for nfollow, PR, OBL, or got a report?

Did the report include all info on the links, how many where accepted and what anchors they used?

If you would want me to recheck your links i'd be happy to give you a second report so you can compare.
