After reading " the sandboxed myth" where he mentions putting your keyword in the Title, I thought I might add a few keyword practices I use for on-site SEO. Feel free to add onto this post.

Try and do the following at least once (more than once if applicable) on your site:

    • Definitely put your keyword in your site title and keywords (Meta Tags)
    • Put your keyword in h1, h2, and h3 tags through out your site
    • Use your Keyword as anchor text ON THE SITE. This actually helps a lot. Since you may not want to redirect traffic away from your site, just make a link right back to your homepage with your keywords as anchor text
    • Put your keywords in <b> and <i> tags at least once on your site.
    • Put an image on your site with the Keywords as the alt text.
    • And of course, sprinkle your keyword through out your site in the regular content. Just remember to not overdue it.

Hope this helps! I am not saying all of these will guarantee better rankings, these are just the methods I use.

That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell...

The only other things I would do would be:

    Add keyword in page URL
Use variations of your keyword for LSI.

Apply that to good on-page content, good on-page optimisation and good link building, you're on to a winner...
