I've recently become aware of a new blackhat churn and burn, because it's trying to burn ME.

I signed up to a newsletter, and have received it for a while now. Suddenly, my fucking PayPal is sending me emails about failed payments of $197, for this shithead blackhat article service, associated with the newsletter.

To put on blast, or not to put on blast.... Too bad this PayPal is a locked up account, or you could have stolen some money from me,

    Spoonfed explanation:

    I logged into email.
PayPal email described failed payment of $197 subscription.
    Investigating showed described site responsible.
This site also unsurprisingly just released a new service.

    ...

I'm sure it was "innocent" in their attempt at auto subscribing me. I guess I'm on here to vent/ask if it a happened to anyone else?

They can't just randomly make your account subscribe to something. Clearly you subscribed and forgot to disable the auto payment or you weren't paying attention. Not sure how this is their fault when you clearly accepted and logged into your paypal to make the valid payment subscription....

This is marketing gimmick. When you sign up for a free trial or a promotional rate, the owner will lock you in for perpetual subscription. This is how money is made blackhat way. If you fail to cancel the prepayment agreement then it is your own fault and paypal will not refund your purchases.
