Now that I have upgraded to VIP I thought I'd be able to upload a gif image banner in my signature, or at least an image advertising my services.

    Seems not...

    What must I do?

Upload the image elsewhere and embed that in your signature instead.

    Maybe only links are allowed?
However I saw users with banners in signature...

    Interesting.

I was going to say "I may be better waiting for one of the mods to answer"

But your saying that I would be okay using an image?
    Even a gif?

Has users, bk071 as an example paid or done anything extra to be allowed to use an image?

bk071 has uploaded image on imgur.com and embedded it with

    Code:
    [IMG]xttp://imgur.com/image.jpg[/IMG]
So, simply upload it on other site and embed it with IMG tags
    Code:
    [IMG]your image link here[/IMG]

I'm pretty sure GIF images are still allowed. I have one in my signature lol.

Try to avoid flashy images or you'll just annoy people (inc mods).

A static JPG is what most people use.

The only reason it says you can't upload a GIF is that it can't be HOSTED on BHW. If you upload it elsewhere and link to it, that's fine. Bear in mind that's a vbulletin permissions table, not "official" rules.

BTW, it gets blocked by ad blocker by single simple rule. Try to change that image a little bit. Reduce width or height by 1px
