Do you think Google is a democracy?

The only people Google has to listen to is their shareholders

I think what's funnier is that the person who created it thinks that getting 100 signatures will have an impact. Get over 10,000 and then we'll take this petition serious otherwise do like the rest of us and find workarounds for the new updates. Google search updates are nothing new and each time someone is upset because their site gets bounced from top position ... GET OVER IT! LOL!

If you want to protest against google, all you have to do is never click on an ad when you do a google search..

I haven't taken a look at it, but let me say this: Did the SOPA petitions have an impact?

As for the 100 signatures, you have to start somewhere. While I realize the petition is a failed attempt to influence big G, 10,000 signatures wouldn't be nearly enough.

p.s. I think the petition is as stupid as the rest of you do, I'm just looking at it from all angles here.

I'd rather G punish the hell out of whitehat sites, duh. It helps my sites that sure aren't built the WH way.

This is not a bad idea. But in itself it's useless (100 people is ridiculous, 100 000 would be the minimum).

What would be useful is if some journalists talked about that: GG, monopolistic enterprise, put thousands of people businesses to the trash AND now propose very poor results.

Personality, I switched back to Yahoo! search (it's been a whiiiiiiiiile) and it's pretty good. If you want to have an impact, start with yourself and your relatives: stop using GG's services and sell your GG shares if you've got ones.

Online petitions never work, and since its Google like someone previously said they simply don't care.
