Hello. I have a website that links to 3th parties websites that have copyright materials like tv shows or movies. But I that websites is not 100 % legal right? Cause copyright say " HOST OR LINKS TO COPYRIGHT MATERIALS" i think that. And I was found many websites that was shut down by policy by copyright this type materials.

I thinked sidereel is legal cause they are ranked very weel in alexa and everybody like it. I thinked like noob: siderell has permisions to link to that materials by the companies which has that copyrights movies. But I searched the website and they have links to megavideo etc.
    My question is:

Why they can do it and other people cant?

Or i need to have a good privacy statement or???

please someone can explain me cause I am a little noob and I ned to know this....

    thanks

    peace

It depends on the laws of the country your host is in. If you want to be able to link to/host copyright material you need to get an offshore host that allows this. What's odd though is, SideReel is based in California.

You should NOT host it in california. But yes, if you host offshore, you can still have traffic from the US. I haven't dealt with any offshore hosting companies yet but have been looking into it.

There's always PRQ (owned by the owners of the pirate bay).
    Code:
    http://www.prq.se/?intl=1
"No questions asked" hosting company. I'm sure this makes them more expensive than most offshore companies ;).
