Side effects of business

haha welll it's people prefrence.

anyway he's not bald yet, he's alright! :D

I've seen this joke about IT

Well I've made a living from computers for almost 30 years now. More than 30 considering my hobbyist years in the late 80's.

It's been a crazy ride but I can't say my buddies with "normal" 9-5 jobs are better than me age-wise or health-wise.

It all depends on how you take it. If running your own biz seems like a hurdle and you hate it, then it's just as bad as having a bad 9-5 job.

But on the other hand if you face it like a daily mind challenge and appreciate owning your own thing and having no boss, then it doesn't even feel like a job. It feels like a game of sorts.

(I know this is a joke thread. Just my 2 cents about that for those thinking of running their own biz.)

In my country, those doing traditional business and always in stress. Even if it is established business, you can notice the owner in stress and signs like aging on very less age.

That's most countries outside USA and a (very) few others.

The do-it-yourself culture is a minority and not looked up to, always has been like that everywhere, even rich countries.

Here's an example.

Last weekend I ordered some food on sunday.

So the app I use says the food's arriving, I go to the front door and wait.

A Harley Davidson arrives, some guy bringing my food on a backpack.

Guy gets up from the cycle, he's like Arnold Schwarzenegger, built like The Rock, wearing a $2000 wristwatch.

I joke and say this is the first time I get a delivery by a Hollywood actor on a Harley.

He said I'm the owner and none of the delivery guys came to work today.

That's the reality of running a business. He's obviously wealthy....but doing the rounds on sunday delivering $20 food.

Well, if your business doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger.
