    Hello

    I came across this product

    http://www.easywebvideo.com/ebay/

which enables you showing a video thumbnail as your image in search results, as far as I understand if you click on the image the video will start ...

How does this work??? Can this also be done without this product? Possibly for free?

Huh, no - it's NOT starting the video when you click the "image" right from the search-results, it's starting from the item description. So therefore it's pretty useless because you can integrated every YouTube/Vimeo video you want (and as already know, they'll have the "video thumbnail" integrated, as well as the play button). Basically this tool creates a thumbnail for the listing and using it as "image" for the listing. Something that you could made right away using any Photo Editing software by yourself (for free, except buying the software for $XXXX of course).

But if you plan to list multiple products, and don't want to deal with things like that - then yeah, $20 are worth any for this kind of job. Go for it.

You'll have my attention as a buyer to click and view you listing but that won't generate you a sale because I'll buy the listing that have cheaper price than yours, and won't care if you have integrated a video or not.

All it really does is just takes picture of whatever part of your video you tell it to take and then uses this pic with a 'play' button as the main image. Plus it integrates your video into your eBay listing. All of that can be done easily by hand with a photo editor to add the 'play' button and copy/paste code from youtube to have a video clip in your listing.
