I am one of many young entrepreneurs in the on-line marketplace. I have released several info products over the years but I've never really tried to brand my name as I should. Lots of Internet entrepreneurs including myself are under 20, some even under 18. Would knowing this Information prevent someone purchasing the product?

I am asking as I'm planning a huge release for late this year and need to really start branding my name positively.

Should we mention our age or keep it to ourselves? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

My product is geared towards non-beginner(experienced) types so I'm thinking the obvious choice is to keep it private.

Let me know how you feel.

I dont think so. Anyway, you could say you are into your older twenties, or even around 25. It gives you more experience thought.

I wouldn't let people know your age if I were you. :) Sadly, no matter what field you're in if you're under 25, the general population doesn't take you seriously because they don't think that you have the life experience or the industry experience to back up what you're talking about. A lot of people here in BHW know that's a load of b.s., but most people who are not the motivated entrepreneurial types still think that if you're young, you don't know shit. If you DO tell people your age, your writing would need to reflect that life experience type of maturity or you'd have to show visual PROOF that you know what the heck you're talking about. An example would be taking pictures with people at affiliate summits, pictures of what you've spend your earnings on with YOU in the picture, pictures with other well known and respected affiliate marketers, ect.

I'm younger than the average but this is the internet, you can be anyone you want to be! :)
I was also considering branding my name for my next launches. Some people will need to understand that age is just a number, and it does not always reflect their maturity level and business abilities.
