Sorry for the stupid question but my site is similar to thisiswhyimbroke.com

I post a bunch of cool things with a short description of what it is and what we think about it. Each post is about 50-60 words, so should I stress a lot about SEO stuff on it like keywords, meta, and title if they're all just going to be a bunch of posts on 1 page?

I intend to rank the single page with all these items on it but not each individual post.

    Hi Mate,

No worries, many people are actually doing it.
i.e. Faq-related pages, most are 1 liners but if drop-down box then different story..

    Cheers,
    C.

Thanks for the reply! So don't worry too much about it? It's not a drop-down box, more of just a bunch of pictures with descriptions on it in a single page lol

    Hi Buddy,

No worries there, you're transparent with us but best honest with yourself.

It is a long term plan, ya.. There're many websites that not optimized but why are they at first page, hmm - think like this and you'll crack da code.

    Cheers,
    C.

I recently learned this the hard way, single page sites aren't good for SEO. They work in some cases, but for the majority of cases they fail. Especially when you have mid to high competition.

Yeah I was thinking about this the other day. My page isn't necessarily a single page or a few. I actually have a lot of pages for it except my home page is filled with a ton of short post while my other pages are filled with long articles and more products. But I just want to try to get my homepage up there but we'll see. Commoner does have a point, there are lots of websites that are not optimized for SEO but yet they're the first on google. So maybe a ton of backlinks will be better for my homepage while I optimize my longer pages for SEO? Not sure yet, still new here so I'm just trying to figure it out haha

Not to worry about it because your niche is like that, all factors end with getting traffic and convert it to sales. So if you have enough traffic then everything is fine. Else use social media, or build backlinks also check with your onpage factors are well good.

Well right now I'm getting about 600 traffic from only social media but, I would like to get more organic traffic since I can't be advertising on social media every day. Would you recommend me getting an SEO package to cover everything or should I just get a link building package from marketplace? So far my on-page seo is good. I'm just building up more content for now so when I decide to invest in a package, people will stay coming back to my website.

As from the mentioned related site, your site also has a lot of products so it hard to rank each one. So you can build backlinks to brand your website.

You'd be biting more than you can chew if you're going to target all the keywords at once.

Yes, you need the on-page right for each one of them but only focus on ranking the main page first.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure if it would hurt my main page ranking if I don't do this haha Thanks for the advice! I'm just going to focus on the main page seo :)

Not an issue as you are ranking a page that has all this excerpts listed.

So Pinterest might be an optimal site for his niche? Is there a reference someone listing what resource matches up best with some niche? That would be an interesting article

    Hi Commoner,

So my budget is really low right now because what got me into all of this was a post I saw of a guy saying he’ll make me an affiliate website that will generate me minimum $500/m. I didn’t know anything about website making or any of that and he said he’ll make one for me and teach me. I paid him $75 to do it and he said within 3 days I’ll have my website up. Anyways he lagged on me, I ended up building my own site and ended up doing everything (which I’m glad because the sites he built for other people sucked).

With that said, all I’ve been doing to push traffic is joining Facebook niche groups and marketing there. It’s getting me most of my traffic with a few people from other sources. I’m working on building my Instagram as well. I have a bot following, liking, and unfollowing on my account running. I bought 15,000 followers to build some trust and that got me another 5k followers so far.

I have never tried Pinterest. I’ll look into that. Right now I’m focused on building more content on my site. I am going to buy some backlinks or an SEO package (still debating which one first since my budget is low) but before I do so I want to have a lot of content up to make sure people keep coming back as well as optimize as much as I can. Currently my on-page SEO is at C but that’s because it keeps saying my site isn’t connected to any social media when it is lol

So yeah that’s my plan and I really want to increase my organic search since I won’t have time to be marketing on Facebook in the future.

Lol I know it’s long but after reading everyone’s reply and other post, this is my plan for now. The problem is I have a high competitive keyword but I’m just going to play it out and hope building backlinks will help me out a lot haha

I think it just depends on the niche. For me, I don’t necessarily have a niche since my site is filled with more than 1 niche so trying to promote my site with multiple niche off-page SEO will be challenging. I heard about Pinterest a lot but yet to try it out so hopefully this will work though
