I'm new here, and I hope I'm posting this in the right place. So pretty much this is the story: I started a niche site last year for the sake of trying it out, without much knowledge in SEO. I'm still not a pro at SEO, but after reading up some topics here I have a better understanding of it and ways to improve on it. I shut it down for about half a year due to host issues and lack of time. I restarted it last month, with minimal work/articles. I have two articles on it now, and it gets about 30-50 visitors a day without any effort on my part. (I've been slacking off, my views used to range in the 100-200s when I first relaunched.) I'm sure if I put the time into it I could get a lot more. My visitor count usually triples when I market it on social networking sites too. Aside from that, I'm thinking of adding a forum to it in order to keep members active and have it grow. Any thoughts? Right now my niche site ranks on google page 4-5 based on my keyword, so I'm thinking I should keep it and try to improve my page rating using back links. Would this be a good idea? I believe it used to be PR 1 around when I initially started, but now it's down to PR 0. Also, what does PR really account for? I'm thinking since it shows up on page 4-5 on google, I could bring it up to page 1 fairly easily and then go from there. Any thoughts on this, or am I just wasting my time with it? Thanks.
