Should I use new domain now? I am tired of trying to recover my site

The story starts from 2011 when my blog was getting a good traffic (400UV per day). Then Google went crazy and rolled out those Penguin and Panda and other algorithm updates. Ever since that time I have a steady decline in traffic and now I hardly have 5UV per day.

Before I was hit my blog was PR2 and went back to PR0 in subsequent update. However in latest update (about a month ago) I got some PR back and now its PR1. Even though my PR is half back my traffic is the same. No improvement in ranking whatsoever.

I have never received any message in my webmaster tool so its not manual action. My links were mostly made by commenting like everyone else back in 2011.

This was a kind of overview but my real question is should I try to recover my site or just buy a new domain and start over again.

I have more than 250 post on this blog and I just can't leave it. Can I use these posts in new domain I purchase or will I get another penalty for using the content. I am tired of trying to recover this site and at this point I think its just a waste of my time and effort.

What do you guys think I should do. Waiting for your suggestion.

Using the same content on a new domain will get you in trouble. Depending on your budget, you could try hiring somebody to help bring the old site back to life.

May I know why? One of my sites got hit by an update too (possibly penguin) and I've already relocated the contents to another domain. Of course, I deleted everything from the previous domain and it's already inaccessible by Google bots. Any insights regarding this?

Have you been regularly posting new content and building new links to your specific content pages that used to rank well? May want to link your best articles from the homepage, etc.

i think ur problem in backlink do not use 1 method for backlink

How is you relocation going on? Are you gaining some traffic or is it too early to tell. How long has it been since relocation?

Yes, I have been regularly posting content but no improvement at all. I have been building some links from different sources as well.

Back in the year 2009,2010,2011 it didn't matter how link was built, it just worked. Its now that we have to be concerned about diverse link building.

Yeah dude, de-index the old one and start again. If you want, you can take a hail mary approach and just SAPE it every month while you're making the transition.

Could you post a link to your website? It's difficult to say anything without having a look at the website.

Deindex the old content and start rolling it out (1 post every few days) on a new domain. Keep the old site with a few pages of new content and try and get it ranked for a slightly different keyword (one you weren't trying for before). If you have $20 for the domain, try and get an aged one from GoDaddy auctions (many have PR2 already) so you're not starting from scratch.

And don't make the same mistakes with comment spam with the new site!

Why don't you try to re-title the pages that have the links incoming so that they fall away. Are the links all built to the home page?

If it is internal pages, simply copy the page with a new title (changing the permalink so you have a new URL) then go into webmaster tools and drop that url out. Do the sitemap too.

In time the links will fall away because the destination url doesn't exist.

All depend on how are you planning using a new domain? if you are using new domain then you are doing 301 redirect from your old domain, YES your ranking will come back like what you had before those crazy updates. HOWEVER your ranking will stay for maybe about 1 - 2 months then it will sharply decline afterwards (If you think your current site have some sort of penalty). I would suggest use 301 then start doing your link building from start

just start over. It's easier to start with a new blog than recover a website penalized both by Penguin and Panda.

So, most of the answer is to deindex my old site and use the same content on the new domain. I guess there is no harm in trying that out. I am not getting any traffic anyways. Thanks everyone.

Super mega newbie mistake. I forgot to de-index the old site before transferring the content to the new one. I've also deleted every file (on the first website) on my cpanel: wp-includes, wp-content, wp-EVERYTHING. What do I do now? I so failed at this that it's funny. haha.

About your question, haven't been building backlinks yet because of said problem. :D

What is the reason for new domain, simply disavow all bad links, or even all links.

How long has it been since you noticed the drop in you UV? From what I have understood, you need to diversify your link building tactics. Try to do social media, Pinterest, Twitter and such. Get someone to create a very good content and let it sit and build links naturally. I believe its worth the effort rather than creating a new site.

If your domain gets penalized, start over. Get a new one. Getting domains out of penalties isn't impossible, but unless your site has some sentimental value or you spent a lot of money advertising it, it'll make more sense economically to build a new domain.

As long as you de-index your old site, you can use the content on your new one.

FPS

That's right, as long as the content is totally out of the Search engines, they are good for use. However to be sure and avoid problems i would wait a week or two before posting on the new domains. Just to be on the safe side.
