One of my site in real estate niche is ranking for medium/high competition keywords in second/third page and so on. The domain is aged 10 years and has 200 backlinks till now.

I was wondering whether doing one or two guest posts (PR 4+ , DA 40+) will show improvements across all keywords? Should i use anchor text in the guest post to see any results?

    Need your valuable Suggestions

Guest posts on authoritative sites with traffic are helpful, so it sounds like a good idea. You certainly can use anchor text, if the person whose blog you are posting on allows it. I guess the decision depends on the composition of your anchor text profile already.

I think the link juice will be the same regardless of the anchor text, though I'm not quite sure.

If you just want a more powerful presence in the SERPs, then a generic link (click here, bare link, etc.) might be more helpful all around, and it looks more natural to Big G's crawlers.

Like another poster said, adding anchor text could hurt or improve your rankings mainly based on whether or not your link profile already has links with anchor text.

With only 200 links or so, adding 2 WITH anchor text brings the amount of keyword anchors up by 1%, which is quite a bit relatively. So if your link profile is already stuffed with anchor texts, you may want to consider just using a more 'natural' link in your post(s).

    Hope that helped!
