I am trying to include a blog page in my e-commerce site. The content of the blog post would mostly be spun or copied content. I am confused if I should or should not use a subdomain structure for my blog.
What might be a better choice?
Code:
mystore.com/blog
Or
Code:
blog.mystore.com

Are they any pros/cons for one over other in SEO perspective?

Thanks

I would use mystore.com/blog cause the subdomain is considered as a separate domain, which means you need to build up domain authority twice. With the blog page on your main domain, the blog gets natural juice and authority from the backlinks you build to the domain.

Dont go with Subdomain better to go with same domain/blog. It makes to same time and money as well as it help in strong SEO.

What's the main purpose of your subdomain for blog page that is the main point? do you want to educate the Visitor or creation more value for your site to Google?

Well, he says the content is spun or copied, so I'm guessing he's looking to become the next big thing in the blogosphere.

Don't do the subdomain thing, better of with /blog

A TIP: when you have such questions you can check the major SEO companies websites and how they have structure their content. And in this case they use /blog :)

I think don chino pretty much explained it. A subdomain is treated as a different domain. /blog is what you want to do.

Yea, I also agree with going for domain. com/blog option - thus, you will have your main ecommerce site at domain. com, and with the link juice flowing there, it also capitalize on the /blog sub section.
subdomain.domain.com is more to like a new site as a whole, and the link juice flow wouldn't be too good here , and not to mention you will need to install 2 WP on both domains in order to make them to work.
