    Hey everyone!

    I have a quick question.

I am thinking about launching a website in a particular niche. As I was brainstorming domain names, I came up with [myniche]reviews.com. Something like androidphonereviews.com. However, my potential competitor already has the domain [myniche]review.com. So, the only difference is that I would have an 's' on mine. As in I would have androidphonereviews.com and my competitor would have androidphonereview.com for example. Is it ok to use this domain?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you're doing original content its better to differentiate yourself from your competitors so that later on people don't confuse your competitors lousy sites with yours!

Yes this is okay you could easily outrank them depending on big of a niche is , maybe he has a lot of back links which will be harder to take.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to build your own brand, as Mike Cernovich advises, then you should go your own way and create your own unique content and URL.

If you want to try to capture the attention of fans of the other site, then a similar URL might work, but good luck converting them over!
