    I have video's on only Youtube. Is it a good idea, or will it hurt me in any way to re-upload them to sites like DailyMotion, Vimeo, ...? I realize that i won't make quite as much from those other sites, but i figure why limit it to just Youtube.

    Thanks.

    Yes that'd be a good idea. Just imagine if you could rank them on google.

    Are there any other sites that people have used? I want to get an idea before i spend a bunch of time on it. Even if a site only paid 20% of what Youtube pays it would still probably be worth doing.

    I've been looking and haven't found anyone that says an estimated comparison in monetizing $ between the sites. I mean obviously Youtube will have more traffic, but i was hoping someone out there knows the numbers.

    Eg.
    Youtube = 1
    DailyMotion = 20%
    Vimeo = 10%
    ...

    I'm talking in terms of monetizing. Has anyone uploaded the same videos to several different sites and the difference in earnings, traffic, etc.

    It simply depends if you can get ranked high enough in their algorithms.

    Well yes obviously Youtube is #1 for volume with 7 billion views per day.

    So i guess what i'm going to do is try to automate the process of transferring my video's already on Youtube to the other top sites. Here's the best list i've found of other sites. Maybe i'll try to use iMacros to somehow upload, input Title, Tag, Description.

    Just as long as Google/Youtube doesn't see it as duplicate content and penalize for it. But from i've read i don't think they will. I'm hoping to get additional traffic, additional backlink boost, and small amount of add $. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to create all the accounts, transfer and promote.

    Upload your videos in youtube is the best idea. Over 400 hours of videos uploaded in it. Because of this high traffic, your video has promoted as soon as possible.

    People wants the most popular services. Apart from that, youtube is independent and user friendly, but no privacy. So the viewer has increased at every minute within it.

    Likewise vimeo has good looking layouts and it has no ads to advertise in the web page. Some other people like to see videos without any ads disturbance and don't want to loose data for unwanted advertisements. From this thought, you can use vimeo to upload your videos and it has more privacy. So, it is more popular next to youtube.
