Glad it worked for you @homeriscool!
Damn it! Wish I saw this. Could have saved myself some money. Oh well...
Wdym by public project? For clients I'd rarely encourage OVH.Better use OVH. Those digitalocean & vultr ale good but for web dev's not for public project.
Yeah, exactly ! You're paying for your VPS + server setup and updates + control panel basically. To anyone it would look like a shared hosting with SSH access. Have fun on DO! Let us know how the one click "cyberpanel droplet" goes.Excellente', I'm jumping from Cloudways to D.O right away. Almost finish promo credit with Cloudways and I realize I've paid double than D.O for the same Specifications (but ofc Cloudways is user-friendly UI). CYBERPANEL is a game changer as most of us can do ourselves.
Thank you very much, I'll save even more $ + have the same fast speed hosting.
On top of DO monthly, I need to pay for "Cyberpanel"?Yeah, exactly ! You're paying for your VPS + server setup and updates + control panel basically. To anyone it would look like a shared hosting with SSH access. Have fun on DO! Let us know how the one click "cyberpanel droplet" goes.

I just checked it's free for 1 domain.Cyberpanel is FREEEEEEEE
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tools/cyberpanel-1I just checked it's free for 1 domain.
What about if I want to add another domain?
Correction: I was talking about Cloudways prices ! Sorry. On top of DO monthly, I need to pay for "Cyberpanel"?

To be honest I saw that myself but I already have 4 websites on my cyberpanel and I can add as many as I like. So I don't know what that's about?
Wondering if you're using scheduled backup on Cyberpanel or paid backup by DO ($1 per month)? As regular backup is important as well.Yeah, exactly ! Never going back to regular hosting, cloudways all the way.Take a look at Cloudways.
Ah, if on site, I always use Updraft Plus as its lightweight & free. Will look into mainWP. Thanks. At least 2 backup options in case the other one failed.I'd strongly recommend having it on your app/website level or on Cyberpanel. (I have it as a plugin in Wordpress, not sure if it's ideal speed wise) If you have a lot of clients/websites to backup (10+), I'd recommend a management panel such as iControlWP ($) or mainWP that integrates with free backup plugins.
DigitalOcean's backup or snapshot is more like a last resort if you have to reset your entire VPS or if you want to make a copy of your server.
Wow, must say mainWP Free Dashboard is just enough to manage site plugins & themes.I'd strongly recommend having it on your app/website level or on Cyberpanel. Moving to D.O + Managing with mainWP definitely are saving lots of $ & time.
Thanks, buddy.
P/S: I use updraftplus to schedule back up each site to G-Drive with unique Gmail (It's free & fast too)
P/S2: Moved all sites to D.O already. Gonna unplug on Cloudways any moment now. Lol.
Yeah, I guess people call D.O hosting for developers for a reason. That's almost everything you need to handle yourself first, that's a trade-off for better price.right now have several shared host and just recently got digital ocean. Digital ocean is light years ahead of my other providers in terms of speed but the thing is, i will probably be switching for the sole reason that their customer support is shit, takes days to get a response and the fact that they do offer phone service. if my site goes down who the hell am i gonna call to help me get it back up?
I am not techy so having somebody to call is a must for me
