Should I spend $5 to get an ecommerce store set up (Fiverr) or spend more buying stuff myself?

There seem to be good gigs on there, and the other option is buying a theme (can be $30+), plugin (Woozone), etc. What would you choose?

If you know how, just do it yourself. It doesn't take long to install WP, download a theme from the members downloads section, upload it to your server, and download e-commerce plugins. If you've never done it, it will be a lot less stress to part with the $5.

You can buy the same thing here in the marketplace for like $30 fully set up sites. Either way the main work isn't building the site, promoting it is.

    No, just no.

For 5 dollars you CAN'T have a good e-commerce site with a good theme.

And, by curiosity, do you know how you will promote your wonderful $5 dollars e-commerce site? Because, if you have a site, but you don't have traffic, you site is useless.

I would never hire anybody from fiverr to set up a site for me, I just wouldn't trust them.

Download a premium wordpress theme and install woocommerce plugin and other good plugins. Learn to make it yourself so you can repeat the process for future projects. Paying people might be nice for moment but learning the real way is better.

Setting up a host , wordpress, theme , plugins etc takes max 15 minutes once you know how to :)( also its really easy )

Man, if they got rave reviews for their service then out source it. Why waste a day doing something someone else could probably do in an hour.

I suggest doing it yourself. I would not pay someone at Fiverr to do it, as you are not really going to expect much from this.

I can take that route, but plugins themselves can cost more than a Fiverr gig. I know how to install stuff myself, but it's the costs I want to save. I'll see how some Fiverr gigs go, and if they don't go well, I'll switch.

People on Fiverr, most of them, are very hardworking. However, $5 to set up a site from scratch? Spare me of that nonsense!
