    Hello Guyz,
I wanted help from you (well experienced marketers).
I have exams for the next 3 months and won't have time to blog(not even to get on BHW :( ).
Now I wanted to know whether I should temporarily shut down my blog with some notice or let it run just like that for 3 months with no updates.
If i run it without any blog post,my visitors might see it as a expired blog or whatever you think(not getting the word :p ) and if i shut it down it may create a bad impression in front of search engines.
It is a new blog with around 1k visits(29 from search engines).
Around 40 days ago i started it.22 Posts till now.Thanking in anticipation. :)

Closing and opening later will not do any good. As a poster said, post and schedule atleast once per week.

Let it run and do a popup with some update info.

I agree with the comments above. Write some posts now and schedule them over the next 3 months.

What the others also say, create or let some one create a bunch of posts for your blog and schedule them.

depends on the niche. if it is about current 'news' in his niche, then there is no way to schedule those posts because those 'events' he needs to be writing about haven't taken place. TBH I was in a situation like that recently, and I didn't update my blog for almost 3 months. I just didnt touch it, but I was still getting a bunch of uniques, and when I checked my advertising inbox, there were still advertisers trying to do business. From my personal opinion, (and I was getting way more traffic than the number you just quoted), leave it open.

Keep it. Even if you do nothing you'll have a slightly more aged domain. Always good.

If you shut it down it will definitely give a bad impression to the search engines. Leave it up, even if you can't schedule posts. You should be able to write a few articles to schedule though. Anything is better than nothing.

    Why shutting it down?

Either leave it open with no activity and post again when you have time, or write/buy a few articles and schedule them. You can even post them yourself once 3/4 times a month. I'm sure you'll find 15 minutes 3/4 times a month to post.

Let it run. I am still earning from a blog, which I once made with a video on youtube and now I don't even remember about anything. The only way I know it is making me money, because of the the filename I am sharing.

Let it run dude. You already have visitors and after some good posts, you will get them back so it's a nice idea to come up with something unique. :)

    You can post something weekly.

Its a bad idea to shut down and of course it will not look good to visitors if you will not post anything for 3 months.

Hence, you can create something now and post it weekly and make a note in your blog about your presence for sometime.

Prior notice is always good as it gives them the reason for happening and not happening.

1st good option is to schedule some posts..
2nd option would be ..forget about it and then start posting when you come back..

Yes let it run. If you don't have much time for next 3 months then you can a content writer who could write for your blog once or twice in a week.
