Should I Sell My Blogging Websites or Keep Optimizing? Need Advice!

You can decide whether to sell one or continue to optimize it based on your current living situation.

I checked the stats in your GSC. In short, my opinion is: if you don’t want the headache, sell the site. But if you're determined to recover it and willing to put in the effort, it will take time and patience. One thing to consider, whoever buys your site will face the same struggles because the backlink profile isn’t healthy.

if you don't really want to work and risk sell it if you want to risk keep them and try to recover them sell them is the safest and fast solution but if you keep them are you really willing to invest time and work on them? if not sell them.

Your rankings are dropping due to possible reasons like lower CTR, short content lifespan, or declining relevance. Start by analyzing your competitors, how is their content different? Are they optimizing better for engagement?

To regain traffic, consider adding a "Trending" section for short viral content and incorporating long-term, evergreen articles like "How Social Media is Changing the Way We Consume News." Building an email list and monetizing newsletters can also boost engagement. Explore and implement all possible strategies to drive consistent traffic. You might just turn things around.

Your crypto blog is performing well, but the clicks on your news blog have decreased, even though the impressions are fine. This could be due to a decrease in CTR (Click-Through Rate) and user interest. First, fix SEO optimization, trending content, and sharing strategies. If traffic doesn't improve, you can think about selling. However, if the domain authority (DA/DR) is good, it would be better to test a new topic or monetization model. Try AdSense, Affiliate, or Sponsorship.

personally I'd sell both because I'm a lazy fuck and don't like having to deal with headaches, so free and easy money is welcome :D

Also, I've never heard of news blogs before, you probably meant news site, in which case I would sell it because I feel that people tend to either go to mainstream media or to their favorite (niche-y) person to get their news. News blogs (especially if your visitors don't know who you are) have hardly any credibility, so even if you get clicks through on your site, I don't think you'll manage to make a lot of money with it since you don't have lots of traffic and your traffic is also not targeted to anything in particular (unless, it's a niche-y type of news site).... But like I said, I am speaking about news sites here, I genuinely don't know what news blogs are so feel free to educate me

Regarding the crypto blog... I've just learned a few days ago from someone I trust that blogs are dying because google will prefer ecoms and business websites moving forward, so if you feel that you have the time and motivation to attach a store or a business to your blog you can give it a shot to see how it does. If it's profitable, keep it, otherwise out with it...
I think OP is just interchanging “blog” with “site”

Pff...it's hard to decide, it definitely depends on the value they are offering for your websites. Of course, if it's a good deal, you could sell it and start again

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and could really use some advice. I own two blogging websites, both with solid DA and DR.

  • One is a crypto blog, and it’s doing pretty well—getting good impressions and clicks consistently.
  • The other is a news blog, which started off great with high clicks, but over time, the clicks have dropped a lot, even though impressions are still coming in.

Now I’m stuck between two choices: Should I sell them while they still have value, or should I keep working on them to improve traffic and monetization? if you’ve been in a similar situation, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are there any SEO tweaks or monetization strategies you’d recommend?

Thanks in advance!
