During the month of February, I sent 267 hops to product on CB through text-links and ads on my blog. However, I only got 2 re-bill sales which I made a total of like $60 of only. I'm not sure whether or not it's because of the type of traffic I send, but something like a .07% conversion rate doesn't sound so good :/

Does this mean I should probably find another product to promote or is it just my traffic?

Affiliate marketing is dead ... well, the method you are doing worked very well back in '05-'10, now it does not. Unless your visitors really trust you, you can't make many sales nowadays. You need to build list, provide them with useful content (send link(s) to your own blog posts that help them with their problem(s)), they will start trusting you and then you send affiliate offers through emails. That's how affiliate marketing is done right these times.

When I google something, I come to a website, I see reviews, 99% of those reviews are positive and all but I don't know who wrote them. Even if I follow the link to the product they promote, chances are I won't buy anything. However, if I am on someone's list and that someone emails me links to blog posts that actually help me then yeah, I buy most of the products that guy promotes because I trust him/her. I am pretty sure it works this way for most people.

It really depends on the type of traffic you are getting. If it's not targeted, then conversions will not be good. Try doing product reviews on your blog instead of just putting ads up. After making a good case for the product, put your affiliate link at the end of the post. You can also SEO this post to get ranked for related keywords to get more targeted traffic and higher conversions. The product could also be a problem. Make sure to pick one with high gravity. This will show that it is a proven seller.

I only pay attention to the order form conversions, yeah I guess the hops are somewhat important but to me the order form page tells the whole story. I mean you could have 1000 hops but if no one made it to the order page does this mean you have a product that doesn't sell? I don't think so. Can you tell me what product you were promoting either through pm or on here.

Since you already have traffic then you should split test products, content on your site, CTA you use. CB sales are low for me too.
