I'm doing fine with Paypal.

I have a business model where the user at the end of a path in my website can pay for a kind of training.

I put a button redirecting to Paypal where they can pay.

What I dislike with Paypal is that they ask for too much information about the client. And I might lose conversions from that.

But in another hand, Paypal is very well known, and the users might be more confident paying on their platform.

Putting stripe directly on my website for a one-click payment with 2 inputs might be much faster for the client, but I might lose a bit of his confidence, because my website is not so well known.

What do you think ?

Did someone from here did this kind of migration ? Did you lose/win conversation rates ?

Give them two options to pay.

One with stripe one with paypal, then you can compare.

What sort of service / product are you selling ?

As @GringoMonkey offer both. That's what they do here on the forum.

Give them both ways. My rule is to always give the customer as many payment options as I can.! I want everyone to buy my products not just people with Paypal ... !!

what kind of services are you selling ?
i think use them both it's much better

Some books. I'll try them both. I would have appreciated to hear about your conversions related to those platforms.

Offer both, create an article or something like that about the new payment method, let people know what stripe is and how it works, i also wanted to use stripe badly but unfortunately its not available in my country.

nowadays to many alternatives, you can leave paypal and move to another one like stripe, crypto coin etc... or use payment 2co gateway

It is not a matter of which one to keep and which one to let go.
In fact it depends on the area you are selling, What are your buyers like,If paypal or Stripe is more accessible for the buyers etc
So you have to take all these things into consideration for a successful business.
Hope that helps
