Should I Learn SEO Basics Before Building My WordPress Business Website?

It's ideal to learn the basics of SEO before building your WordPress site to ensure it's SEO-friendly from the start, but you can also implement SEO effectively after the site is built.

It's best to learn the basics of SEO before building your WordPress site. This helps you structure the site, URLs, and content properly from the start. While SEO can be improved later, early planning saves time and boosts your chances of ranking faster. Focus on things like keywords, site speed, mobile-friendliness, and proper headings from the beginning.

Understanding SEO can help you build your website to rank better on search engines like Google from the start. SEO knowledge guides you to create content that targets relevant keywords, satisfies user intent, and drives organic traffic. Building a website without SEO in mind can require time-consuming and expensive rework, such as fixing site speed, broken links, or poor URL structure. Basic SEO knowledge can help you optimize your website to stand out in your field, especially for local or small businesses. Learn to use tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest to identify low-competition, high-intent keywords relevant to your business. Learn how to optimize titles, meta descriptions, headings (H1, H2), and keyword content. Use plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math on WordPress. Focus on site speed, mobile responsiveness, and secure hosting (HTTPS). Make sure your website is easily crawlable and has a clear sitemap. Create valuable, user-centric content that answers customer questions. Include internal/external links, and optimize images. Spend a few hours learning SEO basics before building your website. Even knowing the basics can help you make smarter choices during the build process, saving time and increasing your site’s discoverability. Focus on keyword research, on-page SEO, and technical setup, and continue to improve as your site grows.

I'm planning to build a business WordPress website, but I'm a bit unsure

Do I need to learn the basics of SEO before starting the website?
Or can SEO be implemented effectively after the site is built, once the content and blogs are in place?

Your expert suggestions and experience would be highly appreciated!

There are two possible approaches here. First is that you should learn and do the seo yourself. Second is that you outsource seo to some expert. You can choose any approach depending on your budget and own availability.

STOP thinking technical. Start thinking BUSINESS

Learn SEO first ?

NO. DOUBLE NO.

You want to learn this first?

That is terrifying. You will be in overwhelm and give up.

If you try to do that you will do NOTHING

1. Go to WeLib.org. Download ALL the books by Michael Masterson

The 1st book to read is called "Ready, Fire, Aim". the title is self-explanatory

2. Learn Wordpress - The best course is from FireLaunchers. You can buy it from them OR you can
get it from PLRDatabase.net. It is called Advance Wordpress Mastery Main + Upgrade. It may
be a free one

3. Now create a BRAND in your niche. Use Brandroot.com

4. Then find a cheap vps from Cenchu or another BHW member and install Wordpress

5. Then join Festingvault (he is a BHW member) and get a free Wordpress Theme

6. Then give away a PLR to get signups for your site

7. Then join Amazon affiliates, CJ Affiliates, Warrior Plus Affiliates, Click Banks Affiliates
and put affiliate ads on your site

8. Then start posting articles in your niche even if you get AI to write them for you.
AI is free. Chat.akash.network. Or get your niche articles from your competition and
AI re-write them for you

9. Then create a Print On Demand web store and link it to your site

Now that you have gotten off your a$$ and done SOMETHING, go back to WeLib.org
and download and read books on Social media, Marketing, Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram,
AI, ChatGPT, Prompts, Agency, Funnels, Email, Newsletters, Product Launch, SEO, etc

YOU NEED THINGS TO SELL

YOU NEED PEOPLE TO SELL TO

Whatever it is, DO SOMETHING.

Create your blueprint. Read my previous articles

Then REPLICATE your system

If you can create a website that makes $1 a day, you can create 100 websites
that make $100 a day. Or more.

Sincerely,
