    Hey,

Since my dog has passed away (2 weeks ago......), I am looking for a new puppy. Any recommendations?

I am thinking about either a rottweiler or an american bulldog. I need a dog which could be like a "guardian" - strong, no fear. But lovely, cute and friendly as well.

    Regards,

    Thanks

Why do you need a "guardian" are you incapable of protecting yourself?

Cause small dogs are awesome dogs. They can jump on your neck, shoulders, tummy, everywhere. Big dogs will crush you.

If you need protection just get a can of mace.

I recommend a min pin. They are the absolute best breed of dogs I know of. Smart, energetic, proud, loyal, defensive, very funny,

I am not weak, not small. I am quite big and I need a big dog. (lol @Zso).

Oh, that dog is too small though. I've had a really small dog a few years ago.

Alaskan Malamute, it's a good one, similar to siberian huskies.

German shepherd, been thinking about this too. It seems like a nice and strong dog.

    Thanks!

    Lol'ed @Bass . Thanks ran out :(

Go Big, get a Tibetan mastiff and watch people cross the street as they come near you.

The thing with German shepherds is that they have hip problems :(
I had a german shepherd for a while and they are awesome dogs but it really sucks if yours ends up having this issue.
If you're looking for an awesome dog look into the Anatolian shepherd. This dog is an absolute beast and is extremely friendly/one of the best guard dogs in the world.
My personal favorite dog of all time :)

How about a Rhodesian Ridgeback? They are big, strong, loyal and super nice.

A friend of mine had one growing up and that dog was just awesome.
