Hi,

I normally registered my domain name at namecheap and I don't recall ever send them my scanned ID or anything.
Yesterday I decided to register a domain at 1&1. After they charged me, they asked me for my ID.
Then I do a search here and realized they had a really bad reputation.
Should I concerned about privacy leak if I send my ID to them??
And also can anyone suggest any other good domain registrar other than namecheap?

Thanks.:)

They always asked me to send them my ID and finally, I decided not to use them. I would recommend you using namesilo.com

You can try namesilo for reliable and efficient working ever.
It'll never hurt you.

dont give your ID anywhere without crossing it with a pen, I mean draw a diagonal line over a copy and than scan it, or simply do it with the help of ms paint

Just go to another registrar that doesn't ask for ID-s, unless the domain you currently have with 1&1 is really valuable and you need access to it.

just photoshop some ID, i normaly wouldn't give such suggestion but those piece of shit of a company deserves to be tricked

I switched to gossimer they accept bitcoin and instant delivery, no ID is required.
