Hi guys,

I'm a noob when it comes to proxies.

I need proxies for using Amazon Mturks for it to appear like I'm in the USA or UK.

I need for Amazon to not be able to detect that I am spoofing my IP. I want my own IP so others cannot spam it and get it blacklisted.

Are mobile proxies my only option? Or are residential proxies ok too?

How much do they generally cost? What are some good and bad providers?

Thanks in advance!

Both are Good.

Ok, how much do both types usually cost? Can you recommend any providers?

Am I right in thinking that a residential proxy would usually be shared whereas a mobile proxy would be only mine?

OP, both are okay. More importantly that the proxy, make sure your browser won't leak your IP.

If you have the funds, you should invest in something such as MultiLogin, otherwise, you need to make sure you disable WebGL and similar utilities that allow fingerprinting.

Go with whichever is cheaper for you.

Ok thanks! How much does a decent mobile or residential proxy cost? Can you recommend any providers?

Good 4G mobile proxies are $30 to $120 per proxy per month. There are dozens of sellers in the marketplace https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/proxies-for-sale.112/

Residential proxies are priced per GB used.

Note when you buy 4G mobile proxies that some providers only allow social websites so it's best you contact the provider before and ask if they allow Amazon.

OP, I think you also need to know the difference between the two, because nobody addressed it in your thread.

A mobile proxy is a proxy whose IP is rented from a mobile carrier (AT&T, Sprint, Vodafone, etc).

A residential proxy is one whose IP is from a landline (broadband) Internet provider (Comcast, Sky, BT, etc).

You can use them both, but if you want to emulate mobile connections you are better of with 4G. And if you want to emulate desktop connections, then residential are a choice.

But.... always but, do your own tests and don't take any advice as a hard rule.

you can buy a sim card and use all the 4g ip you can get from the sim via tethering a mobile to a laptop.

of course, get a sim pay as you go and top it and use the data.

each IP write down, some providers send the same IP in areas.

good luck.

portable firefox for each account and footprint addons.

of course, you need cheap proxy added to each portable account you just made.....

let say you make 100 accounts, you can verify from smspva and let them sit till needed.

a sim good for £10 worth it for 100 accounts, that very cheap.

Doing this, can I make my IP be from a different country than the SIM card?

One thing nobody has mentioned is location - make sure your proxy choice matches the location you want to emulate.

IMO resi proxies will work just fine. However, before that you should contact the support of the provider youve chosen. It is important that you don't get ones that were abused on amazon previously.

If you want to have an IP dedicated to you so others couldn't use it for spamming, etc. I would actually recommend going with dedicated/private proxies. There are datacenter proxies and residential proxies that can be private and they are very useful when working with various sensitive tasks. So that would be the best choice for you. Mobile proxies can also be handy but there aren't so many of good providers that could offer you high-quality mobile proxies.
As for providers, go with Smartproxy, Oxylabs,Stormproxies - very good services.
