Should I do a 301 redirect to a new domain from my penalized site?

I have a website that has 98% natural links, but it is penalized by Google. There is no traffic from Google, but the website still is indexed on Google. And I still have quite good rankings on Bing and Yahoo.

I did all what I could to get this website recovered (I disavowed links, improved content and design), but nothing has helped.

The last thing that I consider to do with this website is to do a 301 redirect on it to a new domain. However, can this affect my Bing & Yahoo rankings?

BTW, I'm also working on a new website, but it takes some time while it ranks, so I was thinking what could I do in the meanwhile with the old website.

301 redirect is the only solution in this situation. But, of cause, it will affect Bing & Yahoo rankings somehow. It's risky, but what else?..

I have around 100 backlinks and 2 of them were built by myself. The rest of the links were created by people who liked my website and linked to it.

That used to work. In my experience over the last 18 months, the penalty transfers to the new site within a few weeks.

Hi reallife :)! I have a quick question regarding your statement. What if the domain you 301 to has a very high DA(Domain Authority)? Will it still get penalized? Because I can imagine big authority websites with very high DA such as Amazon or WebMd probably have some sites that are penalized linked to it. What is Google going to do punish them:rolleyes:? I do find that a little hard to believe, but if you have experience authority sites or sites with high DA that have been penalized from 301 redirect please share your knowledge! Thank you for you time :D.

Any more opinions? I especially wonder if it can affect my Yahoo & Bing rankings, as I don't want to lose them.
